Thank for the tips. I didn't know that there was that type of support for Krita. good to know.
I'm not quite sure if I understand your question.
The lines are drawn on a separate layer and the coloring is done on a layer below it. The lines have an "overlay" effect on it. basically the lines you see aren't exactly the color black. It has multiple hues in it. I used to use the pen tool to finalize the line art but I felt it looked to "digital" so I practiced a lot to stabilize my stroke. I also learned that different line weight (aka line width) helps with the overall feel of "hand drawn" line art. Some parts of the line art, like the corners of hair strands and line intersections, have added line weight. Some areas the lines are so thin they don't show up on screen when zoomed out. Those line are for thin hair strands or lines that are in the highlight zones. I guess it just depends on the art style. I normally use fast strokes to do the hair. For precision strokes I use a stabilizer.
Hmm perhaps you could search the internet for suggestions about your problem. Or email Krita staff themselves. I really love that program even though I don't know a big part of it - I haven't used all the options yet. For example I found this tutorial link which showed me a completely new metohd of making the the base color layers for anime.
Thanks for the tip, I'll check the program out just to know what's out there. I probably won't buy it as I'm sticking to krita :P
I like Krita, but for some odd reason I can't get it to work properly on my computer. There are many things that Krita offers that PS doesn't so I have to make/get some customs or plugins to get PS to function like I want it. I heard the Clip Art/Manga Studio is the "Go to" program now. From what I heard it seems to be a clone of PS as a base but added everything that PS doesn't offer. I want to get it but I just want to try before I buy, I just haven't gotten to it. I've been busy with my new hobby.
A few years ago I also used photoshop. It's great for wallpapers. At the moment I don't have it anymore - but I'm using the free software program Krita. In art it works quite similar to photoshop but I feel I have more options in Krita :)
Probably one of these days I'll try out Krita for wallpapers :D
I think you did an amazing job for being your first wallpaper moani! that being said I don't know anything about digital stuff or how wallpapers are done so I'm afraid I can't help about advices and stuff, sorry..

Mahalos for the comment. I've been playing around with some filters and attempting to master the Photoshop curves adjustment layer option.
